Embedded assembler has limited applications these days with ever better next generation compilers. There are still microcontroller and processor applications that have timing or code space demands that are more readily or easily met with assembler coding. Generally assembler is seen as time consuming and with ever increasing memory available, high level compiled languages are first choice.
