Full Time - PCB layout engineer - Immediate start available

Morgatronic currently has a full time position available for a PCB layout engineer. Knowledge of Pulsonix would be a great advantage. The candidate must have a minimum of several years experience of multilayer PCB layouts up to 20 layers and knowledge of things like differential pairs, RF tracking, ground planes, copper pours, power tracking, blind vias, buried vias. Having a working knowledge of the IPC 2221A would be an advantage. The ability to enter library parts is essential as is the ability to enter schematics from given documents. There is also the possibility that you could be involved in populating the PCBs you have created and even powering up and initial fault finding if you are so inclined, but this is not a requirement for this position.
You will be working in a small growing company with a very friendly environment and on occasions where required have direct contact with customers and work closely with them.
You will be working at a permanent office location in the forest of dean. Working hours will be 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Embedded software engineer - Immediate start available

Morgatronic currently has a full time position available for an embedded software engineer. The role will mainly focus on embedded C for Microchip parts and less so for ST micro, Atmel, Philips, Analogue Devices etc. The role will require the successful candidate to writ code on prototype and production PCBs. You will be expected to help fault find designs and you will have a chance to influence the design during the design stage. A good general knowledge of I2C, SPI, CAN bus, USB, LCDs and all manner of sensors is desirable. A general knowledge of electronics would be an advantage. We have no specialist areas with which we are involved and you will be involved in everything from flashing LED's to controlling more complex RF hardware.
There will be the requirement or ability to learn new things on the job and an innovative approach to everything you do will be essential. Part time - Mechanical engineer

This position requires someone who has a good general mechanical aptitude but not looking for a full time position. Working hours can be flexible within reason to suit the applicant. The role will be based mainly around electronic products, for example creating housing solutions for electronics assemblies. Knowledge of injection moulding, 3D printing, turning, milling, and general engineering processes is of great importance for the successful candidate in this role. There is no requirement for any heavy engineering. Our in house modelling package is solid works and it would be desirable for the candidate to have knowledge of this product.
